Agri-Business

Named the Agadir Innovation Hub, this incubator is a support entity for the creation of companies in the field of agro-technology, water, and sustainability. It aims to promote innovative agricultural enterprises for resilient and eco-efficient agriculture. Its primary mission is to assist the bearers of innovative and technological projects. The Agadir Innovation Hub caters to both nascent projects and companies seeking growth or development, emphasizing the importance of diversity in innovation, the creation of unique and sustainable solutions, and the generation of quality business flow.

This incubator will be launched in partnership with DANA (Desert Alliance New Era Accelerator), an investment platform and venture builder based in Abu Dhabi that supports women-led start-ups in the field of desert technologies, particularly in the sectors of agritech, water solutions, food security, waste management, and renewable energies, through regional collaboration, innovation mentoring, an impact community, and funding.

Through DANA, the Agadir Innovation Hub will also connect local talents with Israeli knowledge and experience in the fields of ag-tech, innovation, and sustainability, offering:

- Starting from 2023, an incubation and acceleration space equipped with training rooms, offices and workshops.

- A comprehensive programming of networking events, co-creation activities, innovation, and training.

- Financing for business establishment and support for project funding for innovations and growth.

- Advisory services in start-up, project management, financing, and strategic business development, the organization of internships in companies and the recruitment of specialists.

- Access to acceleration cohorts.

- Entrepreneurship and innovation programs, and B to B programs.

Memorandums of Understanding have already been initiated with a dozen Israeli and Canadian companies for the development of technological solutions in the Moroccan context, particularly irrigation, aeroponic cultivation, crop protection, post-harvest technologies, and the valorization of quality-gaps…

They can last between 8 and 18 months, adapted to the needs of each startup. They include practical mentoring, product advisors, business design partnerships, concept validation and feasibility testing on beta sites, the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence tools, and business development in the MENA region.
