Director's statement

Pioneering a Resilient Future

In an era characterized by climatic fluctuations and food insecurity, global agriculture - and Moroccan agriculture in particular - is confronted with significant challenges. The pressing demand of our time is to implement a more resilient, integrated, and inclusive production model. Thus, we need to make tremendous strides in bridging knowledge and data gaps, fostering appropriate research and technology development, and providing incentives that encourage the adoption of innovative agricultural practices. These actions will ensure alignment with the objectives of the national Generation Green strategy and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

To this end, we have spent the past few years strategically positioning our institution as a "Regional Center of Excellence" and a hub for training, research, development, and agricultural innovation. This effort aims to create a more efficient and resilient agricultural system through the initiation of world-class structural projects such as:

.Horticultural Center of Excellence

.International Horticulture Hub

.Consortium for Agricultural Research, Development, & Innovation

.Impact Cluster

.Agri-Business Incubator

.Doctoral program

.Farm Manager program

.International Masters program integrating training

.Continuing Education Center

.Diagnostic and Analysis Center

Simultaneously, we have successfully leveraged both national and international networks to stimulate the growth of our private sector through cooperative partnerships. We have cultivated strong collaborations and signed agreements with key actors in the agro-technical research and development ecosystem, including world-leading academic experts, research institutions, and both national and international companies.

However, our most significant asset is our people. We place immense value on the human element within our dynamic organization. Our focus remains on empowering our professionals, nurturing young innovative entrepreneurs, and expanding training programs (both initial and continuing). These efforts are aimed at bolstering the operational skills and capabilities of our Moroccan talent. Our goal is to drive change and transition towards higher performance, enabling them to navigate complex situations, optimize, adapt, anticipate, act, and make decisions in an environment of uncertainty and risk.

Our commitment to transforming the agricultural sector and making a tangible impact on the global food security challenge remains unwavering. We welcome you to join us on this exciting journey as we continue to forge a resilient and sustainable future for agriculture.
