Experimental Farm

The AHC's experimental farm, encompassing a total area of 25 hectares, represents a regional platform for knowledge and technology transfer. Its restructuring was necessary for optimal utilization of its resources for scientific research, training of the new generation of agricultural entrepreneurs, and supporting farmers in the technological transition of the sector.

This integrated center is divided into two distinct production units based on their technology level: a high-tech structure covering 10 hectares and a second structure of 15 hectares comprising low-tech and mid-tech systems. Both production units are dedicated to the region's dominant crops and high-value crops.

The International Horticulture Hub is designed to fulfill the following missions:

-Educational Structure: Enhance the level of applied training for AHC students by providing practical learning structures in addition to cutting-edge technological solutions.

-Applied Research Platform: Apply research findings on the three production systems (Low-Tech, Mid-Tech, and High-Tech) to evaluate their impacts under real production conditions.

-Model Farm: Provide farmers with a platform connected to the training deployed by the Center of Excellence for demonstrating best mid-tech production practices.

-Profitable Agricultural Operation: Value the harvested agricultural products to contribute to the self-financing of the AHC's support structures and the overall operation of the project.
